TaxHo (“the App”) helps users record income and expenses for personal tax record-keeping. This Privacy Policy explains what data is collected, how it is used, and your choices.

• Expense and income records (amount, date, category, notes)
• Receipt or invoice files you attach
• App preferences (such as language and settings)

Data processed for optional features

If you enable optional cloud AI fallback features, receipt-related content may be sent to the selected third-party AI provider to process extraction requests.

2. How we use data

We use data to:

• Provide core app functionality (recording, summaries, export/import)
• Display and organize your records
• Power optional features you explicitly enable (such as cloud AI fallback)

3. Data storage

• Your records are stored locally on your device by default.
• We do not sell your personal data.
• We do not use your records for advertising profiling.

4. Third-party services

The App may use third-party services only when required for enabled features, for example:

• Optional cloud AI provider integrations (if user enables fallback and configures credentials)

When you use third-party services, their privacy policies also apply.

5. Data sharing

We do not share your personal data with third parties except:

• When required to provide a feature you turn on (for example optional cloud AI processing)
• When required by law

6. Data retention and deletion

• You can edit or delete records at any time within the App.
• Deleting the App may remove locally stored data on your device (unless included in device backups).
• You are responsible for managing your own exported files and backups.

7. Children’s privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. International users

If optional cloud services are enabled, data may be processed in regions where those providers operate.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will be published at this page with the updated date.
