Privacy Policy for phogogo
phogogo (“the App”) helps you review photos on your iPhone or iPad and delete the ones you put in the bin. This Privacy Policy explains what data is collected, how it is used, and your choices.
1. Data we collect
Photos and decisions, on your device
- Photos you allow the App to see. They are shown on your device so you can keep or bin them. We do not upload your photos to Pikasagi.
- Your keep and bin decisions, and settings such as how many photos a round should hold and whether originals are downloaded from iCloud. These stay on your device.
Advertising, if you allow tracking
The App shows ads from Google AdMob. The first time you open the App, iOS asks whether phogogo may track you. If you allow it, Google may receive your device’s advertising identifier and information about the ads you see and tap, so the ads can be more relevant to you. If you decline, ads can still appear, without that identifier. Your photos are not sent to the ad network.
2. How we use data
We use data to:
- Show a round of photos and delete the ones you confirm
- Remember what you have already reviewed, on this device
- Show ads, including personalized ads when you allow tracking
3. Data storage
- Review decisions and settings are stored on your device.
- If you leave “Download from iCloud” on, originals are downloaded from your own iCloud account onto this device. We do not receive those files.
- We do not sell your personal data.
- We do not use your photos to build an advertising profile.
4. Third-party services
The App uses:
- Apple Photos and, when you choose, iCloud, to read and delete photos on your device
- Google AdMob, to show ads. Google’s privacy policy applies to that advertising data
- The iOS share sheet, only when you choose to share a photo with another app
5. Data sharing
We do not share your personal data with third parties except:
- Advertising data described above, when you allow tracking, which is processed by Google
- When required by law
6. Data retention and your choices
- Photos you delete move to Recently Deleted in the Photos app. iOS removes them after 30 days.
- Deleting the App removes the review decisions stored on that device, unless they are in a device backup.
- You can turn tracking off later in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- You can change photo access in Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → phogogo.
7. Children’s privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
8. International users
AdMob may process advertising data in regions where Google operates. If you contact us from outside Hong Kong, that message may be handled in Hong Kong.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will be published at this page with the updated date.
